The Ms are groovy beach music.  And more!

Imagine driving in your car with the top down on a hot Summer day, with their easygoing, guitar heavy, Phil Spector-ish wall of sound blaring out of the speakers.

Maybe its here in Chicago, maybe you're somewhere else altogether.  The music will transport you.  To the seashore.  California. New England.  It's all dreamy.  Both The Beatles and Beach Boys come to mind.

Yet there is plenty of reverb with funky vocal stylings as well.  Picture this: college frat-boy rock with a regular beat.  Yet at the same time, I could definitely feel the glam-rock influences as well.

This band, performing live, was familiar to me and new all at once, though I'd never heard them before.  David Bowie, Tommy James and the Shondells' Crimson and Clover.  Mellow.  Breezy. The lineup facilitates this wall of sound effect with 3 guitars,  a bass, keyboards and drums.

I can see that The Ms are still finding their way, but though still under development, their eerily familiar, dreamlike sound is poised to sooner or later creep into every nook and cranny of your musical imagination.  Enjoyable.  Soothing.  Rock with a hint of reminiscence.  Expect good things to come!
